What number should I choose?
The Oriunde basic subscription includes a Romanian phone number. You can use this number to receive incoming calls from all over Romania, at different rates. For example, if you choose a Brasov phone number, people calling you from Brasov will pay for a local call. People calling you from other Romanian counties will pay long distance rates. For that reason, the primary Oriunde phone number you choose should be one for the Romanian county where you have the most of your relatives, friends and people you know.
You might also choose some other supplementary Romanian numbers. For example, if you come from Timisoara and your spuse is from Cluj, you can take two numbers: one for calls from Timisoara, and one for calls from Cluj. Both numbers will belong to the same phone, so you don't need two phone sets.
More than that, if you want to pay for your relatives' and close friend's calls, you can take a Romanian toll-free number (like the American 1-800 or the European "green" numbers). Thus, if there's someone calling you from Romania, they won't pay anything and the charge will be registered on your account.
Example 1:
Situation: my parents are from Cluj and my spouse's from Sibiu. Most of our relatives, acquaintances and friends are from Cluj and Sibiu, too.
Solution: I will subscribe Oriunde with a Cluj basic number, and a Sibiu supplementary number. Thus, everybody can call me on minimmum rates for them. I can even take a toll-free number for calls with my parents, and they can call me for free, the charges being on my account.
Example 2:
Situation: my parents are from Iasi and my spouse's from Timisoara. Almost all my friends live in Bucharest, where I graduated university.
Solution: I will subscribe Oriunde with a Bucharest basic number, and I'll let my friends in Bucharest know about it. For the calls with my parents, I will take a toll-free number and they can call me for free!
No matter what Romanian phone numbers you choose, you will make calls to Romania and worldwide at the same small rates.
